Porter Henderson Library Turns 50!

The Porter Henderson Library building construction ended in 1967. That fall, students of Angelo State University were welcomed to the spacious ASU Library. Fifty years later, the Library is as popular as ever, with an estimated 1000 people entering the building every month. Thanks to the Learning Commons and two floors dedicated to quiet study, the Library continues to meet student, faculty, and staff needs.

Join us in 2017 as we celebrate the Library building's Fiftieth Anniversary. We started off our anniversary celebration during the fall of 2016 with a bookmark design contest. The winning bookmark design made its way to the circulation desk in January of 2017. We also enlisted the help of Mr. Edwin Cuenco's Graphic Design course to design an anniversary badge! Both can be seen on the "Interviews" tab!
