Accessing RIA Checkpoint

S. federal, state, and local taxes, estate planning, pensions and benefits, international taxation, and payroll taxation for U. S. companies and individuals. Primary contents include the full text of tax legislation dating back to 1996, current code and code histories back to 1990, regulations, and IRS administrative rulings.

Access limited to a maximum of 35 concurrent users.

Using RIA Checkpoint - ASU Tips and Tricks

  • Don't just put words into the search box, you must select a resource to search!
  • Think about the type of source you want - is it Primary or Secondary (Analysis, News)
  • You can alternatively wand over a resource(s), drill down to particular dates/volumes, and click the Table of Contents button to look inside that resource.
  • When using Find by Citation - look at their example! Do not include the Code Name, Section numbers, etc., unless they do.
