Using EBSCO eBooks

Before downloading eBooks to an Android or Apple device

To o check out / download an eBook directly to an Apple or Android device, you will need:

  1. The EBSCO eBooks app, available to download for free from ITunes or Google Play
  2. A valid MyEBSCOhost Account.

Finding EBSCO eBooks on an Android or Apple device

The first time you access the EBSCO eBook Mobile App, you will need to find your library so that you can be connected to library eBooks you’re entitled to access..

  1. Open the EBSCO eBook Mobile App, then tap the Find eBooks at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select your Country and State from the dropdown menus. You will be presented with a list of possible library matches

  3. Upon set up, the app will prompt you to enter your Adobe ID. You can ensure that your device is authorized to a valid Adobe ID by navigating to the Info tab verifying whether it displays an Adobe ID in the “Authorization” section
  4. At the Library Login screen, enter your My EBSCOhost personal account username and password

  5. Find an eBook by entering your search term(s) in the search box or browsing one of the available genre or subject categories

    You will see a list of books within your category or a list of books that match your search term.

Checking out (=downloading) an eBook to an Android or Apple Device

To download an eBook:

  1. From the list of results, tap the Download button for an eBook you would like to download to your device.

  2. Login to your personal My EBSCOhost folder account or select Create a new Account, to create a new one.
  3. Select a checkout period from the drop-down menu and tap Checkout & Download. The title downloads to your device.
  4. Tap to read the eBook or continue searching for more titles to download.
